Below is an overview of a few career positions with Security Plumbing & Heating Supply.

Branch Manager:
Branch Managers oversee the entire operation and personnel of our individual branch locations. This includes, but is not limited to, directing all branch sales efforts performed by the outside sales team, counter staff, and showroom personnel, managing inventory assets including in and outbound shipments, maintaining financial records and efficiency including branch expenses, payroll, warranties, etc., provide technical assistance and product training for both branch associates and customers, supervision of branch associates and oversight of daily tasks, including inventory cycle counts, customer deliveries, branch sponsored training and promotional activities. Educational requirements are; college degree and/or equivalent experience.

Assistant Branch Manager:
Assistant Branch Managers are expected to contribute in the supervision of other branch associates and assist in managing inventory assets including in and outbound shipments. This includes, but is not limited to, filling any vacancy, where needed, in the absence of a branch associate or the Branch Manager, participate in the transfer of inventory and branch supplies, and oversee the branches maintenance and security. Interpersonal skills are a requirement, as this is a managerial position directly under the Branch Manager. Educational requirements are a college degree and/or equivalent experience.

Showroom Sales Manager:
Showroom Sales Managers function as the immediate supervisor for branch showroom personnel. This includes, but is not limited to, developing the customer and Security Plumbing & Heating Supply relationships within the branches territory, assisting customers in the selection of applicable products, preparing quotes for builders, contractors, and homeowners, keeping the showroom clean, orderly, and current with new products as they are announced. Interpersonal skills, and strong product knowledge, are a requirement as this is a managerial position. Educational requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent.

Showroom Sales Representative:
Showroom Sales Representatives assist in developing and maintaining the customer and Security Plumbing & Heating Supply relationships within the branches territory. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting customers in the selection of applicable products, preparing quotes for builders, contractors, and homeowners, keeping the showroom clean, orderly, and current with new products as they are announced, ordering material, as well as managing customer and job/project files for future reference. Showroom Sales Representatives are also required to familiarize themselves with the showrooms products and literature to aid customers in the selection of materials based on style, application, and price. Educational requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent.

Outside Sales Representative:
Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for developing and maintaining the customer and Security Plumbing & Heating Supply relationships within their assigned territory. This includes, but is not limited to, forming new customer relationships, establishing a calling schedule for customers, resolving product/installation issues, and serve as the force driving business to their home branch. Outside Sales Representatives are also expected to communicate market conditions, and competitor activities, to management. Interpersonal skills, and strong product knowledge, are requirements for this position. Educational requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent.

Inside Sales Representative
Inside Sales Representatives assist in developing and maintaining the customer and Security Plumbing & Heating Supply relationships within the branches territory. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting customers in the selection of applicable products, preparing quotes for builders, contractors, and homeowners, ordering material, and coordinating with internal departments to meet customer needs. Good telephone skills are a requirement. Educational requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent.

Delivery Driver:
Delivery Drivers are responsible for the accurate and professional delivery of product to our customers. Their function is vital to the operation and success of our company, and often serve as the face of Security Plumbing & Heating Supply. Deliveries are typically to plumbing and heating shops but, frequently to job sites and individual homeowners. Security Plumbing & Heating Supplies operates 12 branch locations serving the lower Mid-Hudson Valley north through the Adirondack Region of New York, and into Western Massachusetts of which deliveries range daily. Our fleet of delivery trucks is modern and well maintained. Educational requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent. Class B, CDL license with one year of driving experience preferred.

Warehouse:
Warehouse associates are responsible for the accurate receiving, shipping, and cycle counting of all material processed through our central distribution center in Selkirk, New York. To facilitate the fastest and most efficient service to our customers all receiving, inter company transfers, and customer orders, are processed utilizing wireless RF (radio frequency) handheld bar-code scanners. Educational requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent. Forklift experience preferred, must be able to consistently lift 40-50 lbs, must be willing to work outside in inclement weather.
